General Inquiries (Top)
Q~ Are Gift Certificates Available?
A~ Yes, gift certificates are available in any amount, and for any service.
Q~ Can I use my Gift Certificate at Ambiance Salon?
A~ Gift Certificates may only be used at Ambiance Zen Day Spa and may not be used at Ambiance Salon.
Q~ How long is my Gift Certificate valid for?
A~ Gift Certificates are valid for a year unless otherwise noted and can be used as written or made into a dollar amount to be put towards whatever service you would like or towards merchandise in our boutique.
Q~ Do you accept Credit Cards and Personal Checks?
A~ Yes we accept all types of cards as well as personal checks for services and products. Unfortunately gratuities may not be added on credit cards or in checks, sorry for any inconvenience. Also there will be $20 fee for returned checks.
Q~ Do you require appointments?
A~ Appointments are recommended but not required and walk ins are more than welcome.
Q~Is a deposit required for booking an appointment?
A~ No we do not require a deposit for appointments.
Q~ Are group bookings available?
A~ Absolutely! We will personally arrange any group booking requests that you may have. Also depending on the amount of people and services a gratuity of 20% will be added for your convenience.
Q~ Is a deposit required for group bookings, full day services or parties?
A~ Yes a deposit of 50 % is required at the time of booking. The deposit will be deducted from your total on the day of your services.
Q~ What should I do if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
A~ To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us at least 24 hours prior to your service. We request a 48 hour notice for any multiple service appointments or group bookings. We understand that emergencies happen and our staff will do the best they can to reschedule you with the least amount of stress and disruption to your schedule and ours.
Q~ Will my deposit be refunded if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
A ~Yes, provided that proper notice was provided. However we will we do everything we can to accommodate your needs.
Q~ Can I make arrangements for a series of recurring, or standing appointments?
A~ Absolutely, just tell us what time works best for you! We are at your service to find the best time in your schedule for booking your regular appointments, whether it be weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
Q~ How long before my appointment should I arrive?
A~ We suggest that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time as this will ensure you have a relaxing experience. Also you may print out the proper paperwork prior to arrival or if you forget you can fill out the paperwork at the spa. It is also important that you update your therapist on any health changes however minor or routine they may seem to you as they may be important to us.
Q~ What is your policy on Gratuities?
A~ Gratuities are not required and may be given at your discretion for our staff serving your needs from A to Zen.A 20% gratuity will be added to parties as well as some group services.
Q~ Can I bring my child with me?
A~ There is no age limit and we are child friendly. We understand that as a mother sometimes you need to run in for a quick wax and cannot get a babysitter. There is always someone at the front desk and a T.V. with age appropriate videos as well as a front wax room so you will be able to hear your child without the worry of disturbing anyone who might be having services in the back. Ambiance Zen Day Spa is a stress free environment and we like to accommodate everyone from the adorable toddler waiting for mommy to the clients relaxing in the back massage rooms.

Q~ What types of wax do you use?
A~ Our unique waxes are designed for the most sensitive skin. Facial Waxing is performed using gentle Lavender and Azulenewax to ensure less redness and irritation. We use imported European Bees Wax (without strips) for your most delicate areas (bikini). If you have specific questions or concerns about our waxing services or techniques, please do not hesitate to call.
Q~ I have an appointment for a waxing service. What should I do prior to arrival?
A~Please allow at least ¼ inch of hair growth prior to your appointment. Also, on the day of your waxing avoid using any moisturizer.
*Please note that if you are using Retin-A, Accutane, and other such medications you may not be fit for waxing services while on these medications.*

Q~What should I wear during my massage?
A~ During your service, you will be professionally draped at all times. You are not obliged to wear anything under your robe or during your service. Some guests prefer to leave their undergarments on during massage services. Please feel free to do what feels most comfortable to you.
Q~ What if I have special medical conditions?
A~ We recommend that you check with your physician before visiting the Spa. Please notify the Spa of any special needs or concerns when you book your services. Your therapist will also briefly review your health history with you before beginning your service. If (s)he believes that the service you are scheduled for is unsafe based on any information given, (s)he may recommend canceling the service, booking another service or modifying the service to make it safe for you. We are most concerned about your safety and comfort and will do all that is necessary to ensure you enjoy your time with us.
Q~ Can I get a massage if I am pregnant?
A~Once you are safely into your second trimester, expectant mothers may receive a Prenatal or Swedish massage. This helps reduce swelling, pelvic and hip pain, stress on the joints and can all in all help our mommy’s to be relax and enjoy their time with us.

Q ~How old do you need to be to receive a facial?
A~ There is no age limit and the sooner you bring your child in to learn the proper cleansing routines the better. Our highly trained staff offer personalized care and cater to your skin type whether it be pre-adolescent problem skin or more mature skin.
Q~ How do I know what type of facial to get?
A~We offer a variety of facials. Our facials are customized to our client’s skin. We use Repechage Products that are safe for all types of skin and our highly trained staff will analyze your skin and use the products they feel will be most beneficial to you.
